Travel to  BritainPublic Transportation & Mother Hen Tours in Britain

Mother Hen is the perfect blend of traveling on your own and being looked after!  (Minimum 6-8 participants and minimum 3 months lead time.)

 
If you prefer to travel independently but would like a little structure and support, we are offering several tours using trains, buses and local day tours to various parts of Britain. There will be no full time guiding, no porterage and no motor coach travel, but on the Mother Hen options, you will be accompanied to each hub location & oriented completely on how to get around and your sightseeing options. If you elect to do them independently we will teach you how! 

A SAMPLE OF THE EXPERIENCES YOU CAN ENJOY ON A MOTHER HEN PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION TOUR:

  • Learn to use the London Underground, river cruises and buses with confidence
  • Take Eurostar via the Channel Tunnel to Paris or Brussels
  • Visit Kew Gardens, Hampton Court Palace and Windsor Castle on your own.
  • Attend Male Voice Choir rehearsals in Wales and join the singers for a beer afterwards.
  • Climb Mount Snowdon in North Wales.
  • Ride the Great Little Trains of Wales as well as the scenic British Rail rides.
  • Attend the International or Royal National Eisteddfod festivals in Wales
  • Hike the Pembrokeshire, Brecon Beacon, Snowdonia National Parks or the Gower Peninsula in Wales
  • Stay in authentic haunted castle hotels in Scotland and England.
  • Take the ferries from West Scotland to the Hebrides Islands or travel on the canal system all over Britain by barge.
  • Visit St Andrews, Scotland, home of GOLF and play if you wish.
  • Attend Highland Games in Scotland and the Military Tattoo in Edinburgh.
  • Visit the cathedrals of York, Durham, Lincoln, Gloucester, Salisbury, Wells etc.
